l am currently a freshmen in college. After l am finished with college, l wanna go on to med school.l wanna become a pediatric cardiologist, but l just had a few questions. When l choose my residency, should l choose one in pediatrics or cardiology?l do not know how to go about this.

How do I become a pediatric cardiologist

You would choose a residency in Pediatrics or a combined residency in IM/Peds. Cardiology is not offered a speciality for residency-it is a fellowship. So a pediatric residency is 3 yrs long and the pediatric cardiology residency is an additional 3 yrs

You have plenty of time to learn all the ins and outs of medical school and residency though! Good luck
