l work for a Cardiologist in payson, arizona and we have a patient with severe chest pain x3 days and he does not wanna go to the hospital what should we do? he could die if he does not go?

Document, document, document! Make sure u inform them of all the risks in not going to the hospital (cardiac tissue death, death in general, etc.). You may come up with some type of AMA form to cover ur butts in case they drop dead. That way u can say u told him that was the risk. And that way the family can not come back & say, ''well he went to a cardiologist, why did not they catch the problem??''. You guys can come back with some paperwork saying that it was HIS informed decision not to go in.

as long as he has been informed of the risks behind his decision, there is not anything you can do, it is his right to do as he sees fit about his own health.

just let him drop to the ground in a few minutes & then you will have implied consent
