What is the difference between Interventionalist and Non-Interventionalist in Cardiologists, plz say in simple language no technical language, l wanna show my father to a Cardiologist

Interventionalist and Non-Interventionalist Difference in Cardiologists

Invasive cardiologists use guidewires, catheters, radiographic contrast material and a bunch of other stuff to diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease (in addition to non-invasive cardiology). Non-invasive cardiologists diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease but do not work in a cath lab.

Interventionalist and Non-Interventionalist Difference in Cardiologists

There r more than 2 types of cardiologists , & more popping up every day, those bastards make too much money
The interventionalist is the one who will be willing to put ur father on an operating table & do invasive procedures like stenting (put a coil in the heart blood vessels to improve blood flow), this one will be qualified to do things like that, surgical procedures short of actual surgery.
A non-interventionalist is the one who will just diagnose & treat with medications until ur father gets bad enough to have to go to an interventionalist.
It depends on the symptoms ur father is having, if u suspect heart attack & heart disease, go to an interventionalist.
But in truth & in fact an interventionalist is better because they have more options for the patient (drugs & physical treatment).
Actual heart surgery is done by a heart surgeon (cardiac surgeon) not an interventionalist
